AMERICAN PIANO DUO

American Piano Duo is a piano duo made up of Jeffrey Shumway and Del Parkinson. Both are former professors, Shumway as a keyboard professor at Brigham Young University, and Parkinson as a professor of piano at Boise State University. The pair met while studying for their post-graduate degrees at the Juilliard School in New York City and have performed together since 1984. The American Piano Duo has celebrated the works of several famous composers through their albums including Gershwin, Rachmaninoff, Mendelsohn, and more. The pair are individually excellent pianists, but accomplish even more spectacular musical feats when they come together as a team.
