Dr. April Clayton is a professor of flute at Brigham Young University. Dr. Clayton was the youngest student ever admitted to the D.M.A. program at The Juilliard School, where she received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree. She has toured all over the globe as a soloist with several prestigious orchestras and has appeared in some of the most esteemed concert halls in the world. Composer Todd Coleman said of her performance, “April’s playing came to life with such grace and tenderness – all I could have hoped for and more.” Due to her technical skill and elegance, Dr. Clayton remains in high demand as a performer.
