BYU Synthesis

BYU Synthesis is Brigham Young University’s acclaimed jazz ensemble, comprising 18-20 of BYU’s top jazz musicians. This award-winning band showcases a versatile repertoire spanning swing, blues, jazz, pop, Latin, funk, and fusion, featuring original compositions by group members. Synthesis has earned international recognition, performing and competing at jazz festivals worldwide, including the Ninth International Festival of Jazz in Ezcaray and the San Sebastian Festival. With a traditional big band lineup including saxophones, trombones, trumpets, and a full rhythm section of drums, bass, guitar, and piano, BYU Synthesis continues to captivate audiences globally with their dynamic and polished sound.
