CHICAGO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
The Chicago Symphony Orchestra is a world-famous symphony orchestra based out of Chicago, Illinois. The ensemble was founded in 1891 and continues to be recognized as one of the greatest orchestras in the world. The orchestra is directed by Riccardo Muti and hosts more than eighteen unique instruments: a full orchestra of strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion. Chicago Symphony Orchestra has toured and performed all over the United States and the world and frequently performs for sold-out audiences in some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls. However, the group has a heavy focus on its own community and performs more than 150 concerts every year for the people and visitors of Chicago.
