Debra Bounous
DEBRA BOUNOUS
Debra Bounous is a professor of voice at Brigham Young University and has been since 1996. After receiving a degree in vocal performance and pedagogy from BYU, Debra went on to study voice for a year in Paris with Chantal Carduzzo of the Conservatoire de Musique. Debra Bounous is a qualified voice teacher on and off-campus and co-founded VoiceWorks with her husband Barry where she teaches private voice lessons. Debra is an accomplished soloist and has been in many productions of operas and musical theater. She also has experience in several oratorios, notably soloing in Handel’s Messiah. Debra Bounous helps her students to grow in all genres, teaching them as they blossom into strong and confident soloists.
