Grant Johannesen was a pianist from Salt Lake City. Johannesen began playing the piano at the age of 5 and studied under several prestigious instructors and had his debut recital at age 23 in Manhattan. He toured across the world as a soloist and with the New York Philharmonic. His performances were highly sought after and well-received by global audiences, typically performing piano works by French and American composers. He recorded compositions by several great composers and often worked closely with Mormon composers in recording and producing their music, including works by his wife, Helen Taylor.
Grant Johannesen passed away in 2005.
