JEFFREY SHUMWAY

Dr. Jeffrey Shumway is a pianist and former member of the Brigham Young University faculty. Shumway received his Bachelor of Music degree from Brigham Young University, his Master of Music degree from the Juilliard School, and his Doctor of Music degree from Indiana University. Dr. Shumway joined BYU’s piano faculty in 1985 and served as the head of Keyboard Studies from 1987-2006. Along with teaching, Shumway continued to perform and record his piano works, accompany other BYU performers, arrange pieces for the piano, and play as a member of both The American Piano Duo and The American Piano Quartet.
