BYU Philharmonic Orchestra
BYU PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA
BYU Philharmonic Orchestra is a Brigham Young University orchestra featuring 95 talented student musicians who, under the direction of Dr. Kory Katseanes, bring to life great orchestral works from all musical periods. The orchestra has a rigorous schedule, performing up to 14 unique concerts on BYU’s campus during any given year. Beyond their own independent concerts, the Philharmonic Orchestra often works with and plays for BYU’s opera, ballet, and choral programs. This orchestra’s talent has been recognized internationally as they recorded music for both the Opening and Closing Ceremonies at the 2002 Winter Olympics held in Salt Lake City.
The Philharmonic Orchestra is also part of BYU Combined Choirs and Orchestra.
