Reid Nibley
REID NIBLEY
Reid Nibley was a professor of piano at Brigham Young University. He had extensive piano experience throughout his lifetime, performing with the Glendale Symphony Orchestra when he was only eleven, and by age 17, performing as a soloist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He performed with other ensembles during his life and accompanied several famous artists and groups. Nibley taught at several universities during his career, including the University of Utah, University of Michigan, University of Southern California, and Brigham Young University. Reid Nibley was also a prolific composer and wrote the well-known Latter-Day Saint hymn, “I Know My Father Lives.”
Reid Nibley passed away in 2008.
