Reid Nibley

Reid Nibley, a distinguished professor of piano at Brigham Young University, began his remarkable musical career by performing with the Glendale Symphony Orchestra at the age of eleven. By seventeen, he was a soloist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Throughout his life, Nibley collaborated with numerous ensembles and accompanied renowned artists and groups. He taught at several prestigious universities, including the University of Utah, University of Michigan, University of Southern California, and Brigham Young University.

In addition to his teaching and performing, Reid Nibley was a prolific composer, best known for writing the Latter-Day Saint hymn, “I Know My Father Lives.” He passed away in 2008, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the world of music and education.
