BYU SYNTHESIS
Synthesis is Brigham Young University’s award-winning jazz ensemble, made up of 18-20 of BYU’s finest jazz musicians. This band performs swing, blues, jazz, pop, Latin, funk, fusion, and their repertoire often includes original compositions created by members of the group. Synthesis has performed and competed at Jazz festivals across the globe and performed at the Ninth International Festival of Jazz in Ezcaray as well as at the 41st San Sebastian festival. Synthesis is a traditional big band, including saxophones, trombones, trumpets, and a full rhythm section with drums, bass, guitar, and piano. Synthesis continues to tour and delight audiences across the globe with their energetic and polished big band sound.
