THE TABERNACLE CHOIR AT TEMPLE SQUARE

The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square is a mixed choir made up of 360 singers. The Tabernacle Choir is based in Salt Lake City at Temple Square, the official headquarters for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and all 360 of the group’s singers are members of the religion. The choir was originally formed in 1847 by pioneers who had only recently arrived and began to settle in Utah. The choir has a deeply-rooted religious history and focus and has been recognized globally for its beautiful hymns and spirituals. The choir performs for global audiences with nearly every broadcast the LDS church puts on.
